Spirit Camp - Rules & Regulations

Students and Parent(s) must read the camp rules and regulations below and sign that they have been read and that the student will adhere to these rules. Signing means that the student and parent understand that a serious infraction of these rules may result in the parent being immediately called to pick up the student and his/her camp participation will be terminated.

  1. Each student must bring his/her own equipment (instrument, drum, flag, folding music stand if instrumentalist, etc.).
  2. All participants are to wear the camp badge at all times. Badge is your meal ticket. Don’t lose it!
  3. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR DRUGS OF ANY KIND ARE NOT PERMITTED!
  4. Prescription drugs which must be taken by the student need to be indicated on the Parental Consent Form.
  5. If a student becomes ill and cannot attend class, the dorm chaperone must be notified.
  6. CARS – If a student drives a vehicle to camp, upon registration, the car is to be parked in designated parking and not to be used until camp is over.
  7. A 10:30pm curfew (and 11:00pm “Lights Out”) will be in effect every evening.
  8. Students are not permitted to leave dorms in mornings before 6:30am.
  9. STUDENTS – ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING PERMITTED!
  10. Shoes must be worn at all times when outside the dorms.
  11. Male and female students are allowed to visit each other in dorms only in the main dorm lobby areas. ABSOLUTELY NO MALE OR FEMALE STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN EACH OTHER’S ROOMS OR ON THE HALL FLOORS!
  12. Camp students, while on campus, will be held responsible for property damage including lost room keys. A $50 deposit per person for your room key is required. Bring this with you to camp (cash or separate check with your name & school in the memo field). This will be refunded to you when the key is returned on the last day of camp.
  13. On-Campus students will not be permitted to leave the campus without permission from a Camp Director and their school director or chaperone. If permission is granted, student must be picked up and returned by an adult.
  14. The college does not allow decorating of dorm room walls, doors and dorm hallways. DO NOT ATTACH ANYTHING to walls/doors or YOU WILL FORFEIT your $50 Dorm Key Deposit.
  15. All equipment and personal belongings should be labeled for security and identification purposes, especially instruments.
  16. The Camp Director(s) and Staff reserve the right to dismiss and send home any student who disobeys the above rules or whose general conduct and attitude toward the Camp and its participants is detrimental to the rest of the Camp.
